2009 UK India Business Council scholarship programme
Arriving on 29th June, the 10 successful Scholars are presently enjoying their 8 week placements in Delhi & Gurgaon.
Summary of the Scholarship Programme
- Applications from 20 British Universities were received
- 30 students were interviewed for 10 positions
Positons Available
The 2009 programme includes placements in a range of disciplines from marketing, law to accounting. The companies taking part in the programme are as follows- Advaia, Cosmos Ignite, Kesa Global Investments, KMPG, Mohinder Puri, MV Kindi, Rothschild, SannamS4 and SGS.

Stuart Jempson at Rothschild- 'I seem to be getting more responsibility as I prove myself'
Claire Hewitt at UKIBC- 'It's been a brilliant experience. I may refuse to leave!'
Thomas Phillip at Mohinder Puri- 'The time has flown by! I have been working on the company website; which has now gone live. I am now looking forward to working in new areas to develop my skills in new areas'

2010 Programme
The 2010 programme is not presently open, however, any students that are interested in applying should send their CV to Tim Phillis (tim.phillis@expindia.co.uk).
To be considered for the 2010 programme you must fulfill the following criteria
- Graduating in the summer of 2010 or be taking a postgraduate course
- Hold a British passport
- Attend an interview in requested
- Present your experiences to the Board of the UKIBC on your return
- Be available to take the scholarship between June and August. There will be set dates for the programme.
